Izstādē māksliniece ļaus apmeklētājiem iepazīties ar grāmatas “Lemon Yellow” tapšanu, ko 2022. gadā izdeva “Kuš! Comics”. Apmeklētājiem būs iespēja aplūkot piezīmju klades, krāsu proves un orģināldarbus no grāmatas tapšanas procesa, kā arī jaunradītus darbus, kas, turpinot grāmatas tēmu, radīti pēc tās izdošanas.
Grāmata sastāv no vairāk kā 70 ar roku zīmētām ilustrācijām. Tā stāsta par empātiju un subjektīvām reakcijām uz krāsu, sekojot divu cilvēku nesaskaņām par viņu priekšstatiem par konkrētu krāsu. Vai kleita ir zila un melna vai balta un zeltīta?
Kiāra Kviltija-Hārpere (Ciara Quilty-Harper) ir angļu / īru ilustratore, kas dzīvo Barselonā. Viņa savās ilustrācijās ietekmējas no dzīves, izmantojot kinematogrāfiijai raksturīgu iekadrēšanu un luminiscējošas krāsas. Ciara ir strādājusi pie tādām publikācijām kā New York Times, The New York Review of Books and Blackie Books.

At the exhibition visitors will have a possibility to see the making of the book “Lemon Yellow,” year 2022. released by “Kush! comics”. Visitors will have the opportunity to look at notebooks, colour proofs and orgical works created before the book's release, as well as newly created works that have continued to create the subject of the book after its release.
Lemon Yellow is a book of over 70 hand-drawn illustrations and a trio of narratives on empathy and subjective responses to colour. Led through different houses, we follow disagreements between two people on their perceptions of a specific colour. Is 'The Dress' blue and black or white and gold?
Ciara Quilty-Harper is an English-Irish illustrator living in Barcelona. She works by hand and draws from life. Through cinematic framing and luminous colours, her drawings exude a hazy calm found in contemplative stillness. Ciara has worked for publications such as The New York Times, The New York Review of Books and Blackie Books.
